Mech-A-Bond is an electrically “arc’d” process that does not create critical heat problems. Excess heat can distort the plate beyond repair, just like some of the other welded processes might.
Exceeding the coefficient standards effectively with ease
CWS Mech-A-Bond was tested and maintained at an average static coefficient of 1.1 in accordance to test C-1028-07, and a dynamic coefficient of 0.57 of California test 342 (CT342). After the Coefficient test results, our product exceeded the requirements of Standard Plan S-601-3, which requires a minimum of 0.60 static Coefficient of Friction, and 0.35 Dynamic Coefficient of Friction.
